BLOGGER PROBLEMS

Posted by Peg in South Carolina

I cannot leave comments on Blogger blogs. I can publish blog posts. But I can edit my own published blog posts only through Blogger’s dashboard.  The dashboard always has me signed in but my blog always has me signed out.

I use Firefox for my internet browser.  This started about a week ago.  I discovered that there are no problems with Internet Explorer.  So it is clearly a Firefox problem.  I have not changed any settings.  And I double-checked them to make sure they were OK.  I have used Blogger Help to see if there is anything else, and there doesn’t seem to be.

My greatest frustration is not being able to leave comments.

Suggestions anyone?

I don't know what to suggest other than maybe reloading the program and seeing if that would resolve the problem. Do you have antivirius software?

Peg, I haven't had any problems with leaving comments with Firefox, but I did have a lot of other problems since the last upgrade. I finally downloaded and installed Google's Chrome. It took only a little getting used to because it is similar to Firefox. However, it resolved all my issues, loads faster, and is now my browser of choice! I especially like that it always identifies the language of a website and offers to translate. I also like the search feature, just type keywords into the address bar and it automatically brings up suggestions. If none of those suit, I just click on it's offering for Google's search engine.

You might consider clearing your cookies in Firefox. That will mean you'll have to re-enter passwords in a bunch of places that would otherwise "remember" you, but often solves login problems...

tien---aaaaak!!!! That is the one thing I have not done, for just the reasons you give. Guess I will have to give it a whirl. Thanks!

Leigh, I will keep that in mind. Unfortunately I have some add-ons I really REALLY like! One of them, though may be available for Chrome. Or I can just use IE (no! no! no!--grin!) for blog reading...sigh. I have heard lots of good things about Chrome.

By the way, Leigh, I can clearly leave comments on my own blog even though I cannot access it in editable format.....
