I have just enabled comment moderation. On Saturday, and again today, I received dozens of anonymous comments in some oriental language. I have seen this happen on one other (textile but not weaving) blog.
Sad, Brenda, and frustrating. I don't get tons of comments so moderating will not be that hard. I'll give it a go for a month or so and then try eliminating it.
Ditto for me as well. My sites and the blogs I host have all been set for moderation. it's a bit of work, but at least we all know the comments are ok. But, WHY do they even bother? What do they hope to gain by that? It's just stupid.
Dave, there has to be a reason for their doing this. But the reason could very well be just stupid--the kind of thing a 13-year-old does to see how irritating he/she can be.
I have been weaving since 1999. I enjoy designing the things I weave and love to explore possibilities. When feasible I prefer dyeing my own yarns. I use primarily natural fibers, mostly fine silks, but am not averse to weaving with synthetics.

The same thing has recently happened to my blog, and I've also just instituted comment moderation. Sad thing, eh? Let me know how it works for you.
